Crowd-sourcing Campaign: Adsaki

I met Kamal at the Elevate Women Launch Conference and after being fortunate enough to talk with her I learned that she has an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for her new startup, Adsaki, Adsaki is an app that efficiently and proactively allows businesses of every size – from solopreneurs to small businesses to not-for-profits, to get their businesses, ideas, and brands noticed and to generate leads for business. It allows those who might not have big marketing budgets to get bang for their buck and get noticed.

More About Kamal:

Kamal Dhanoa is the founder and CEO of Adsaki, a tech startup located in Ottawa.

Adsaki is building an incredibly smart and innovative app that will change the way Marketing Professionals and Business Owners source advertising opportunities around the world.

She holds a degree (BSc.) in Computer Science, and was a former Marketing Professional who worked for both private industry and the public sector. She has always been a process improvement enthusiast which led her to design a solution, and launch the Adsaki startup as a result.

“It’s been an exciting, challenging and most rewarding journey thus far. The experience has led me to gain hands on experience in many areas (tech, business planning, legal structures, financial forecasting, negotiations, startup funding, etc.). It’s made me a stronger leader and has given me the confidence to continue opening new doors.”

“Women’s leadership is incredibly important to support and foster. Looking at my own situation, If I had not received the outspoken encouragement from both the women and men within my circle – I may have never considered embarking on my journey. There is a lot of innovation to be lost, if we don’t support one another.”

“My message to aspiring women around the world is, hold your head up high, look into the sky, your possibilities are endless. Dream Big. And as cliché as it sounds, never give up, even at the toughest of times (I’ve been there) you must keep moving (you may have to pivot here and there) but move forward and if you can do this, you’ll achieve anything.”

Kamal Dhanoa has won several awards for her work, and more recently her startup Adsaki was successfully selected into the Algonquin College Applied Research and Innovation program.

Mother of three daughters and fitness enthusiast (Muay Thai, BJJ, runner and strength trainer). She is also very passionate for the greater good and enjoys helping others whenever she can.

I’m also happy to announce that Kamal will be featured in the March 17th edition of FinanciElle “Statements”.
